SISTERS (1973) Horror noir melodrama in which a beautiful young woman mysteriously develops a vengeful and murderous split personality. There’s an explanation, but it’s too monstrous to fathom. This is a masterpiece of horror melodrama, incredibly soap opera-ish with an inspired gruesome creativity. This mystery has one of my favorite pay-offs of all time. And the nightmare scenes are frightening. I love nightmare logic.
