DELIVERANCE (1972)
Noir horror that tells the story of a bunch of city men on a rafting expedition, out for some fun in the wilderness. But their trip is interrupted by psychotic inbred hicks showing up and raping one of the men from the group (Ned Beatty) at gunpoint. In self-defense, the survivalist of the group (Burt Reynolds) kills one of the hicks, starting a vendetta.They struggle to make it down the river and back home alive.
This movie could not be more thrilling and horrifying. A fantastic noir story that feels very meaningful. Wonderful ensemble cast.
