SWEPT AWAY (1974) Romance melodrama in which a cold, rich woman is shipwrecked on a deserted island with her poor, sexy, servant (Giancarlo Giannini). Upon finding himself in this situation, the servant immediately enslaves his former boss. This is written and directed by Lena Wertmuller, and is pretty clearly an erotic fantasy movie from a female perspective. But through its brutality and honesty, it ends up being one of the sexiest, most moving, and most profound tragic romances.
